Where did all the art go?

I’m becoming increasingly aware of how art is an exclusive pastime of the rich, the rich who, with their expensive toys and programs, efficiently mass produce it and strip it of any intentional expression of inner beauty and calculation. I want to know the hidden mastery of Lower Wacker’s unrealized Picasso, the average Joe would-be Frank Lloyd Wright, and the unpolished, unabridged, unrestrained, unashamed virtuoso of your own heart.

  1. If you’re searching for an expresison of art that isn’t mass-produced, check out Banksy. Google his bio or some of his street work. He’s one of the few people I can think of in the contemporary West that idealizes the original notion of art: that is, creativity without monetary assistance.
